Here's the deal in my view. You're 18 years old, a non-hunter currently, live with your pacifist parents in their home, and you are in an HOA community. You should consult with your parents and follow their wishes. It is their home. You follow all local, state, and federal laws. Your cat was eaten by a coyote. That is what coyotes do; it sucks, but that is the way it is. Now you know. And the world turns.
