Results of freeze branding

It has been 4 weeks since I freeze branded the pack.Most of the scabs are off,and all the brands look good.I did 7 dogs,but here are a few pics.Of course the hair will grow back white.I will post further pics.

Duanne, I am sure you have done this before, but I like to keep some lanolin or 'hoof alive' on it to minimize scaring. Helps to get a 'full' white brand.

I have done lots of horses,but these are the first dogs I've done.Wish I knew the hoof alive trick earlier.
I 'll just have to see how they do.But next time I'll keep the scar soft.I handle my dogs every day,and it would be no bother to slap some on every day.Thanks for the info.
