Reverse phone search

Anyone know of a good free site where you can enter a phone number in and find out who it is and where they are from. Most sites I've found want money. A friend of mine has been getting some nasty text messages from some guy. Let's just say she's not amused.

You are better to just block and call it good.

There is little to nothing that can be done. It's all a hassle.

On the other end of the matrix would be for her to save them, then go to the local police, and then court and get a Order of protection, restricting contact, so on, to include text, phone, email, and mail.

Then if it happens, all she would have to do is go to the police and show the text and that individual will be arrested.

The other more simple thing to do, is to go on craigslist and in the same on same relationships post an ad with that number, be creative, ask for photo's and leave that number. You can also leave that number on an adult friend finder.

It should stop after that.

Probably wouldn't make it go away, but it would be fun. Run it in the San Francisco Craigslist ads, telling the world you're going to be in town for the weekend and looking for a little guy/guy fun.

Cell phone records aren't open in that respect, even if you do find a free reverse phone search, the best it will give you is the carrier and city of register... i.e Verizon Wireless, Jacksonville, FL number. Phone company won't give you any info, invasion of privacy, they'll simply tell you to block the number.

As T-Bone suggested, I'd tell her to go to the police. They can find out who it is, may offer to afford him a warning if it ceases, if not maybe a few days in jail will teach him to leave her alone.

As to the original question,,,Even though some sites want to charge for the information, it's usually nominal and I've used several of them while I was functioning as a private investigator for various attorneys and as a bail bond agent...I even used them for tracking down old classmates for our high school reunion...Then, it was $1.99 per single or $19.99 for unlimited for a month...

I would use regular Google or the 'White Pages' site to try to track the number down. You can call back too, he have a girl call from another phone to get through.
