Rifle suppressor

Not real sure anymore since everything has gone up.
But a few points; none are Hollywood quiet. Get one aby9-10" long with bout 9 baffles. Also you can go with a 30 caliber. It's not much louder than caliber specific.
I personally prefer mine NOT to be threaded on. I do have some like that. I have paid $400-500 on up to $1000
The old adage you get what you pay for is not 100% true.
If that is what you can afford get it !!! No snobbery here.

Definitely worth it. Let's set aside the advantages it gives you on the hunting aspect for a minute. If anything, $800 is 100% worth it to save your hearing. You're either going to use earplugs and risk not hearing a coyote or you're going to blow your ears out by the time you're 50 years old without one.

On the hunting side, nobody will try to tell you that coyotes can't hear the shot go off. However, I think when they get shot at with an unsuppressed gun, they have no question that they just heard something dangerous. A suppressed shot seems to just confuse them. I once saw my cousin shoot at a coyote 500 yds. out that ran closer to us after he missed. Other times, I've seen pairs come in and even though the second coyote runs after the first coyote is dropped, he'll still stop long enough for a follow-up. The likelihood of that might decrease when you're unsuppressed.

These days it's getting harder to find anyone that isn't using a suppressor, unless they live in a commie state.
Modern 3D printed cans are getting so good that the length and weight are decreasing, while still providing the same performance.
To me, the only problem with buying your first can is that it won't be your last.

I just got a Resilient Stacy’s Mom K for my 16” Geissele Super Duty, haven’t shot it yet but it’s supposed to be the next best thing to the Polonium, some say it’s quieter, it also has the ability to change front caps which imo is nicer. Build quality seems as nice as my SilencerCo’s. Hoping to get it out soon and test it out. Bass and Turkeys are taking priority atm…forgot to add price was under $600 OTD

For AR's get full auto rated. If you have calibers larger than you AR, consider that after one shooting session you will want to suppress other firearms. Multiple weapons use will play in on mounting type. It can get spendy having adapters for multiple barrels(but could be time saver???). The simplest is direct thread and many barrel contours will allow 1/2-28 threads. I have that on 20 cal to 308 cal centerfire rifles. If rimfire use is possible, a serviceable suppressor is best. Adaptability is generally more expensive.

i have a yhm turbo t-2 on my AR, its a 223 and the can does a decent job. decibel rated at 134
That's what I run. It was my first suppressor, and only one of two right now, so not much data to evaluated, but I have been pleased. WAY BETTER than unsuppressed. Should have done it long before I did.
