Rifles - purchase locally or on-line?

I use my CR license for the older rifles on the CR list and find it a good deal for the cost of $30 for three years. The standard around here is $40 for transfer and those who have posted paying $10 for transfer ......what a deal
 
I purchase all locally. I only deal with one guy now. If I want it 9 times out of 10 he can have it by friday, it doesnt matter what day of the week it is as long as you are there by Thursday.
 
In the rural West 75 miles is right around the corner. Driving 150 miles one way to go to lunch is not uncommon. I will occasionally drive 300 miles one way to go to a specific store.

It's big country and things are far apart.

Jack, you really put things in perspective with that.
And I thought driving an hour to a good firearms store was a pain....

I prefer to buy locally myself, IF I'm treated right.
