Riot stocks for Ithaca.

Who manufactures riot stocks for an Ithaca 37? I can find them for Remmy and Mossy but no Ithaca. I was going to buy a Mossy 500 riot gun, but I have a perfectly good ithaca here that would do nicely. Anyone have a link?

I've wondered the same thing, R.J..
I've been trying to buy my Dad's M37, & if I get it, I want to change the wood stocks for a "riot" or "tactical-style" set.
But, like you, I haven't found a place that sells them.

What do you mean by "Riot Stock" If you mean a folder forget it,I don't think anyone makes them. The Ithica police shotgun is good to go as is. It is a wood stock(real walnut) and the short barrel balances real well on them. I did not think Ithica was even in business anymore till I found a website for them www.Ithicaguns.com I think. I don't know if they have anything or not, you might also try copstoxx and see if there is anyway to adapt one of them.

That's not Ithaca's web site. Last I knew they went out a few years ago, I live 30miles or so from where they were. It's too bad, Ithaca is the only shot gun I'll own.

Forgive my digression.

I grew up with two very important Ithaca's in my childhood.

My dad hunted with a M37 (bottom ejection) and I was stuck with my Savage single shot 12 ga. That Ithaca is long gone.

My Grandpa shot ATA trap with an Ithaca 4E single barrel trap gun. He bought it used in 1952. As much as it hurts, I can remember when he got it. I'm happy to say that shotgun is in my gun safe.

Sorry guys for wandering away from the original post, but Ithaca shotguns got me to thinking.

I had a model 37 that I killed my first deer with. It was stolen out of my parents' home while I was away at school.

I shot my fist deer with that gun....

Oh by the way I have seen the Ithaca riot gun wearing the stocks you speak of at a gunsmith's place for sale. It was parkerized with wood stocks. Very nice. I should have bought it.

Hey FrankenCub, I have been up your way hunting in the past. My sister lives in Ithaca, and I used to go up in the spring for turkey. Hunted in the Conneticut Hill area mostly. You boys have some BIG gobblers up there. I need to go back up again, I miss the scenery.

They are still in business in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. A tool and die shop bought them out. There website is www.ithacagun.com, miss spelled in a previos post. Great shotgun, light and very fast. Might be better than the old ones if you read " how we make guns" section. USA made and still made out of solid chunk of steel.

What I meant...(I won't presume to speak for RJ)...
A synthetic stock set, in which the buttstock has a molded "true" pistol grip. Either a solid stock or a collapsible.

The Model 37 my Dad owns...
has wood stocks, parkerized finish, 20" cyl.bore barrel, & holds 8 shells in the magazine. It has a bead sight.
I believe it was marketed as a M37PS...or "Police Special".

A friend of Dad's owns a Identical gun, only it has true factory adjustable rifle sights.
I think it was marketed as a M37DSPS...or "Deerslayer Police Special".

They are great guns, which explains why I'm trying to buy my dad's. But if I ever get it, I had hoped to put synthetic stocks on it.
