Marshall Matt Dillon passed away today at the age of 88. One of my all time favorite shows, he and Festus never get old to me, though I have seen every episode many times over. I still watch Gunsmoke nearly everynight!

Just heard on the radio the other day that it was Marshall Dillon's birthday, and I was thinking how cool it was he was still alive and gettin around. Gunsmoke has always been and will always be a favorite; it was, is, and will always be one of TV's finer moments. And, James Arness was largely responsible for that.

I, also, watch an episode or two of Gunsmoke almost every day. His brother Peter Graves died last year, march 2010.
