Rix Pocket K2

Called myself looking through the search function, but does anyone have any knowledge or use with the Rix Pocket K2 scanner?

pocket k2.. I would not mess with it. It is substantially subpar with only a 256×192 possessor. plus they seem a little hidden on giving the other tech. spec's .
You might go with their k3 model and 384×288 core, but it only has a 15mm obj lens . 15mm still seems a little subpar . I was always under impression the the industry standard for a base model minimum are usually 19mm on the obj. size. but the FOV on it should be big with small obj. and small base magnification.
.
Me.. If I were looking for a starter model for scanning . I would just keep my eye-out for a used Pulsar or other older 384 care scanner someone is getting rid of. It would a big step-up over their new k3 .

Thanks! Been doing fine without a scanner by just using my scope. Just was thinking something not “too” expensive as a scanner might be nice.

I have the older version of the ATN olts160 (about the same as the RIX) . It works OK resolution. First use ID a couple doe across the lake, 100+ yds. Saved pic was POOR. You will find tht scanning with any of these, without a tripod your arm will get tired! I'm using a Rattler V1 25-384 now - much better at ID.
