If the solvent trap has a serial number, couldn't you put the number on the application and send it in before you drill the holes? Until you drill the holes it is legal to have. Once you get your stamp back, then drill it.

I don't believe the solvent trap comes with a number already. The number you put on the application is a number of your choosing. When making a suppressor from the solvent trap, one of the steps is to have the can engraved with serial number, model, and trust name. That's at least my plan. Atf has had my paperwork since mid June.

Ya then you would have to create a serial number and put it on a form 1 and then have it engraved on it. I also think they are guidelines even the engraving have to meet but im not sure. also be ready to wait, they have had a sbr form 1 from me since may and still nothing.
