RRA Grip Screw ?

Picked up a Rock River Arms Elite Comp last Spring, been trying to pick up parts in Flat Dark Earth to replace the black one that came on it, went to remove the grip to put on a new Ergo grip and I can't make heads or tails of what head their screw has on it, nothing I had was fitting it, it looks round almost! Gun was brand new, and I don't think it was ever messed with before me, any ideas?

Shouldn't be, it should be a 3/16 Hex unless it was changed

Not a hex head It is the grip screw up inside the grip that goes into the lower receiver, never seen a hex headed one, sorry!

I know the screw.
Very Odd, I have had three RRA Lower parts kits and all are a 3/16 Hex.
Maybe just a large flat head ?
I just googled RRA LPK and the pics that come up show a large flat head screw

I don't know, but from reading the post I think the original poster is thinking the OUTSIDE is hex. But it is the INSIDE that is hex....the outside is round.
Did this clear up anything?

It's called an *allen head* bolt (or screw).

It takes a 3/16" allen wrench.

The thread of the allen bolt is known as 1/4" 20 (or 1/4" coarse thread.)
