Rubber boots

Any of you midwest pred hunters out there use those rubber insulated boots for hunting fur in the real cold weather? I have seen the well insulated ones (800- 1200 gram thinsulate) out of Cabela's. Are they comfortable to walk multiple stands in? Do they really keep your feet warm in Jan and Feb weather?

I've gone through several pairs. They're about the only boots I wear in the winter (U.P. Mi.). Air Bob soles give good traction. The LaCrosse Burly's were nice but a pain to get on and off with ankle fit. I had two pair of Rocky's that only lasted a couple months before cracking. I see in Cabelas that Rocky re-engineered their boots with a new rubber compound so it wasn't just me.

I wear LaCross Burly's almost all the time. They do work well if you are moving, but not so well if you plan to sit for longer than an hour, which isn't a real problem hunting predators. One thing to keep in mind is that these boots do not breath, so your feet will sweat. A good sock liner that wicks it away is a must in the cold.

When it gets "wicked cold" up here, I turn to the pac boots. Noting works better.
