Ruger 10/22 20in barrel

Does anyone have experience with the Ruger 10/22 with the 20 inch barrel? On the Ruger website they list the rifle under distributor exclusives. How does the balance of the 20 inch barrel compare to the typical 10/22 (16.5 inches if I recall correctly)? I have a 10/22 from the mid-90's that is a walnut stock with stainless barrel that I have always been very pleased with, just wanting to add another 10/22 to the collection. I'm also intrigued by the 10/22 Sporter with the 18.8 inch barrel.

I dont know diddly squat about the ruger 10/22 or any of its apparently 100s of barrel options, but I have read about a dozen reports with some convincing numbers saying that the optimal barrel length for a 22lr is approx. 18 inches, so if your looking for performance, the 18.5 would probably be a good option, Id agree with summit though, a 20 inch barrel makes it feel more like a "real" gun, which is to say, a little better balanced for an adult, and gun handling a little more like an adult sized sporter rifle

anything over 17" is actually starting to slow the bullet down with drag, as all the powder has been burned at that point.
