I have a Ruger 77/22 Hornet that I want the barrel set back and rechambered to K-Hornet. Also need the bolt shimmed and trigger lightened. Does anyone know where I can send the little Ruger to have quality work done? TIA

There is a Sponsor over at RimfireCentral.com who is well known for his work. I want to say it is CP Industries or something like that... They have links to all their sponsor's sites about 1/4 of the way down their forum page.

I'd love to go there and get his name for you BUT... I work in a catholic hospital and they put blocks on any sites having anything to do with violence - like the shooting sports. How PM gets by that block is beyond me! If I try to get to RFC, I get a little, old lady shaking her finger at me!

I think it's Randy at CPC...

Good Luck!

Hey thanks folks, I just checked the website for the
ct-precision and that looks to be what I am looking for. There rates seemed to be very fair. I called the guy at CT and he said would be like a 4-5 week turn around. Now to pack her up and get her in the mail. Again I wish to thank you folks for the help. Has anyone ever had work done by these people? Also have any of you ever had a Ruger Hornet converted to a K-Hornet, and how did you like it? I really don't mean to be a pain by asking so many questions. Thanks again
John

I can't help you with the Hornet question; I've never owned one. My 77/22 is a .22 Mag and I've done the little bit of work that I wanted done myself. Stuck a walnut stock on an All Weather, free floated and bedded it, installed a JARD trigger.

Randy is very highly thought of by the folks at RFC! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I have had Randy at Connecticut Precision do work on a number of firearms over the years. I feel that he does darn good work at a darn good price. I have been pleased with each project. Each project was completed within the time that he specified. I will use him again if another project comes up that is within his area of expertise.

So what kind of turn around times did you guys experience? My Hornet has been gone for 12 days and I sorely miss her already.

i convert all my hornets to K's - you'll enjoy it - the k hornet gets rid of several problems associated with hornets, things like erratic performance, case splitting etc. usually when fireforming the sight in doesn't change. my current load is 14.5 gr of lil gun and a 40 gr vmax or nosler bt
