Ruger American Predator Availability

I've got the itch for one of the Ruger American Predators in 308. The problem is that they've been sold out since they've been released and none of my contacts can get me one.....

Does anyone out there have any inside info/speculation as to when we'll actually see these rifles?

I`m interested as well but have not seen any around here.
co-worker purchased one in .223 not too long ago.

Local Sportsmans Whse had two. One in .308 and the other in .243 ........ I bought the 243. I have seen a few, but probably no more than 15 total. They're selling as fast as Ruger can put them out there.

Local store has one in 22-250. I got the .243 and little brother just got word that the .204 he ordered about 6 weeks ago is in. They are trickling in. There were 308s for sale on Gunbroker last time I was looking around...

I've asked each Gun Dealer that I have been to in the past several months....none have seen one or gotten 1 in?Hopefully they are better made than the Savage .17 WSM....I was wanting a .204 or .223 Caliber. From what I have read and seen they look like a well made Gun!

Wow didn't even know they had this (predator version). Basically, varmint contour (heavier) barrel, threaded, and green stock? That's the main differences? I have held a few ruger americans, and I like them. These look very nice for the price.

That's it ... different stock and barrel contour. It isn't what most would consider a varmint contour, but in my opinion adds a needed bit of weight to the rifle.

I'm interested in a 223 but haven't found any info on magazine oal, dropped the ball offering the faster twist only with such a short mag.

FWIW, all of the American, Predator, and Ranch versions are a push feed action ... not the Mauser controlled feed that Ruger has always used. It's not an issue for most buyers, but it does make a difference to some folks.

Local GS usually has 1 or 2 of the predators on the shelf. I've seen the 223, 22-250, 243, and 308 available there. It's hit or miss but they have had at least one on the shelf nearly everytime I've been there recently.

Pretty sure I saw on Facebook that Whittaker Guns had gotten in a couple, I think in a 204 Ruger and a 22-250. They ship and have probably the best prices around. $351.99.
