My local gun shop has a couple and I'm looking at one in 204. Anyone have a range report? Good or bad choice? I tried the search function and didn't see anything. I appreciate your replies. Thanks.

I have one in 22-250 and 243. Took the 22-250 out today to do some load testing. Here are a couple of the groups. This is 3 shots at 100 yards, one measures 1/2" and one measures 3/4"

I had 6 each 3 shot groups that when put together measured 1.675". There were several of the shots that I know I pulled so the 18 shots would have been smaller than that.

I have seen mixed reviews on them. A lot of reviews I have read are they will be good.groups at first then they will start having flyers. I was watching a video as to why and it is because the stock is not stiff in the front so it will touch the barrel every now and then. He glass bedded the forearm and floated the barrel again and he never had those flyers anymore. Just keep that in mind. I want one because they are extremely light.

BrandonU., I have the American in 22 250 and it did not like factory ammo it loves my handloads!I liked it so much I got the predator in .204. Get one youll like it. And yes they are a light carrying predator rifle.

Thank all of you for the replies. Sounds like the jury is still out and I need to do some more homework. Sounds like some of them can be great shooters.

Glad I did not see that vid before I bought mine!

....... .223 Compact and it shoots into .325" for three @100 yds with a four X scope and before I worked the trigger. The entire range of charges with that combo ran sub .7".

The problem I am hearing about is that some of them refuse to pick up the last round out of the rotary magazine.

Again ...... mine picks up all five from both magazines everytime.

I call mine a KEEPER!

I wonder in retrospect what bullet weights the guy in the Vid is running ...... keep in mind the Predator ...... like my Compact is sporting a "8" twist barrel. My load uses a 55 gr. Hdy SX so it's not a heavyweight but not a lightweight either.

Three 44s

I sure as [beeep] wouldn't let one youtube video by a person I don't even know keep me from buying one. Especially if that person only shoots factory Barnes bullets out of it for his accuracy review.

I have a Ruger American Predator in 22-250. Very accurate with my reloads. 50 grain v-max, 3700 fps. The only problem I am having is the clip! First 2 rounds out of clip feed fine. Third one the nose of bullet pops up and jams under bolt. I haven't tried another clip yet but, I will. I love the gun and accuracy. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? Rudy

Just out of curiosity... why doesn't a savage 11 hunter xp, with Nikon combo scope, and accutrigger and a clip mag... in about any caliber sound good for 500.00 TYD...? Just wondering...

I bought one about two years ago in a 243... which is now my 22-243 AI... but it really shot good and tight before I changed it into a build

Just got back from range my Ruger 204 Predator shot the Hornady 32gr. V-max around 1" at 100yds and some handload with IMR4198 32gr. V-max .325 for 3shots at 100yds!!!

I don't own one.. but 3 rifles and the same results? Isn't this guy connected with Chuck Hawks? I just stumbled across the video. Just sharing it.
