I was just wondering if any of you have this rifle. i was wondering what kind of accuracy you are getting?

Also Im not set ona rifle I would like a 22 250 witha heavy barrel with excellent accuracy. I dont really care for synethic, but willing to comprimise. any suggestions?

1. I own a M77 MkII V/T in 223 and it is an excellent rifle. Very accurate.

2. CZ makes the 550 Varmint Laminate in 22-250. Got your caliber, heavy barrel and non synethic stock all right there.

Both are excellent choices. Both are very heavy, just be warned. Both are very accurate. I've become a CZ guy and would sure look at the CZ.

i just got (last month) a Ruger M77 MKII target with heavy target grey barrel, looks real sharp
in .220 swift (the king)
tan laminate stock.
rifle is heavy as hell, but beautiful
first box of ammo thru it was cheepo reminton, and dureing sightin was shooting half inch at 100 yards. second box now is hornady v-max 55gr. shoots just under 1 inch at 300 yards. its spooky accurate, the trigger is sweet, and its a heck of a lot better looking than a CZ(no offense CZ fans, just my opinion) havent had it on a range over 300 yet.
and best yet(to tick off all the walmart haters) i special ordered it at wally world, was in about a week, got it for less than $600. beautiful rifle but a beast to carry around.

I've owned 2 of these rifles, still have one in .22-250. They are excellent rifles and are very accurate. One of the best buys out there IMO. You get a lot of gun for the money plus the excellent Ruger integral scope rings come with the gun. They have a real nice 2 stage trigger. They are indeed a very heavy gun and are more suited to bench shooting than carrying, although with a good sling it's not out of the question to carry this gun in the field. I give this gun a big thumbs up! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Great gun, It is a little on the heavy side and the long barrel did get in the way sometimes. The trigger was great if you like a two stage trigger, some people can't get over that aspect. They are very accurate I have owned one in a 25 before, that thing spoiled me I now try to get all my rifles to perform to the standard it set.

broknaero and I must of been thinking alike!! I went the same route and ordered one of these in the 220 swift from Wally Word. Im still working on loads for mine but so far it shoots really well. The two stage trigger does take some getting used to if your arent used to it. I have taken a few coyotes with it this winter and love the way the swift whacks em. Im going to try some of the Barnes Triple Shock 53 gr bullets in mine but still need to figure out the bullet seating depth. The first group I tried wasnt very good but I havent had time to mess with it since.

I've owned two of these rifles. Sold the 25/06 to a guy, never should have done that. Still have the 22-250. Both fantastic shooters. The 22-250 that I still have will shoot just about any load that gets put in it. So if I load up something for my other 22-250's that they don't like my Ruger eats up all of those loads just fine. Loaded up some 50 grain v-max loads the other day for the first time, really likes those things. Heavy--yes. But its been luged around alot, you get used to it.
