A few weeks ago i posted a thread looking for feedback on a kimber model 84m as i was seriously considering purchaseing one.
First, thanks to all who provided an honest response to the question.
Well i decided to continuue my search and ended up finding a super nice mint condition 25 year old sako a1 in .223.
Guys this gun is mint,i wont have it in my gruby little hands for about a week but to say i am happier than a pig in s*&% would be an understatement.
I would like to know what you guys that have or have had the little sako have to say about this gun.
Also for those that have one of these could you please post some pics for me to drool over.
It was love at first sight,i dont think i have ever been as excited about any gun ive purchased before.
I know,i know this thread is useless without pics but i couldnt help but jump the gun and early post my new found treasure.
I will post pics as soon as she arrives home.

I own I've lost count of how many Sakos. I don't know about the new ones, but the older Sakos built the 'A' series actions and prior are IMO the best factory bolt actions ever made. The receivers are machined steel forging. No piano wire or stampings here. Sakos use good barrels and are very accurate out the box. Is your 223 a sporter or varmint? Last year I found a Sako varmint in 223 on the A1 action with an oil finished stock. The rifle is in near mint condition around 98%. A buddy of mine has one of those Hawkeye borescopes. He took a look at it and told me it appears unfired. Right now I'm looking for someone who knows what thier doing to bed it. This is going to be my dedicaited cat rifle. Post photos of your 223 when you can Grizz.
