Sako Rifles

Hey guys. A month or so ago I was really wanting a new rifle and almost pulled the trigger on a couple different ones. But then I decided that I was going to save up some money for "just in case" and thinking the old man would flip if I came home with another one. Well the other day we were out coyote hunting w a couple friends and got to talking about what calibers I would like to have. And the words that came out of his mouth shocked me beyond belief... He said "well you might as well start stocking up your collection since you have so many that you want..." Needless to say my jaw dropped and now I am on the search for my next rifle. Got to looking today and I am thinking that Sako's look pretty darn sweet! The ones I was looking into were the Sako 85 or Sako 75 both in the varmint laminate version in 260. My question is... Has anyone had any experience with this gun? My dads friend has a Tikka 588 and loves it so I figure a Sako can only be better. And also does anyone have a price point on them? I couldnt find one on the web. And the reason I chose the 260 was because I can hunt just about anything with it.

I've had the varmint barreled ones in .22-250 and .243, and a .243 Forrester I bought in 1973. That rifle converted more guys to a .243 through the years than I could count.

Triggers that break clean and crisp, all three rifles had a factory ammo that they would group under half an inch with.

.260 intrigues the heck out of me as a long range rifle, it's got a lot going for it. Look at the retained energy at 1000m compared to a .308, and velocity and drop.

The rifle you want is my main deer and wolf rifle. Very well made and more accurate than I am.

Is the the Sako 75 or 85? That is an amazing looking gun!!!

After playing with my uncles sako in .222 it has been my dream gun ever since! I think it was a vixen.

Sako 85 is controlled feeding if that is important to you. It is to me, as I had my tikka jam because I was moving into position and cycling the bolt while swinging the gun onto a jack rabbit. For small game or predators who cares? What if that was the follow up shot on the Elk of a lifetime?!

I have three Sakos and they are among the best rifles I own. They are certainly the smoothest feeding of any, and also the fastest cycling bolt guns I have. The triggers are also great.

I have a sako 85 hunter in a 260 and absolutely love it. Its a shooter. my deer getter. only one bad thing about a 260 is theres not a lot of factory ammo selection. Hope u reload, thats what i do...

I own many different rifles and the best without a doubt is my SAKO 75ss, 300 Win.mag.....others do not compare..

1.super accurate
2.high grade stainless will not rust or pit no matter what you do to it.
3.action is so silky smooth...you cannot tell if a round is chambered while cycling the action unless you look!!
4.integrated scope rail are super solid....I carry my 75 by the scope tube...
5.Very positive latching removable magazine with 1 extra shot over every other gun maker.
6.Adjustable trigger...mine is at 2.5 lbs...
7.rubber inlaid offset palm swells that fit your hands like a glove

SAKO IS THE BEST!!

Sorry , Never had a Cooper...
I 'd be too scared to scratch the nice stock, I am a hardcore hunter/ trapper really rough on my stuff.

100 % high grade Stainless & synthetic is the only way to go for me....50%stainless won't cut it.
