I'm going to mount a new scope on my Sako 300 Win Mag. It's a Leupold VX-II with a 50mm bell. I was going to order a set of Leupold Sako rings. Not sure if I'll need medium/high/super high? Mounting directly to the grooves on the receiver. I'm guessing high due to the 50mm bell. Any of you gentlemen shooting a Sako? Ring height?

I have 2 sako 85 rifles and neither one of them wear leupold rings.. one of them has a set of optiloks on it with a 2.5-10x42 monarch and the rings are lows with about 1/4 of an inch or less between the scope bell and barrel. The other has a set of talley lows on it with basically the same scope and the space between the scope bell and barrel are about the same.. I dont know if this will help you at all but I just thought I would share this info.. I think most rings for the sako rifles sit kinda high to start with so I would stay with lows. If your a little unsure then mediums maybe but I dont think the highs are gonna be what your lookin for.. again I could be wrong, just my two cents..
