Satern Barrels

I have two of them. A 6x45 20" stainless and a 223 Wylde 16" straight flute stainless both are 8 twist. Both have been excellent with almost zero copper fouling. I shoot the 50 vmax in the 223 with no issues and 55 BT, 58 Vmax, and 70 BT in the 6x45. Both barrels are close to .5 shooters. The 6x45 with 70 BT's is almost a one holer.

I haven't talked to Steve since COVID, I'll have to stop in and check out one of the cut rifled barrels. Years ago he sold me a new take off M700 22-250 vfss barrel(cheap) that barrel has shot very well on a couple different factory actions, no fire cracking(yet) cleans super easy.

I am curious on them too. Would be nice to find a drop in barrel that can shoot 5.56 77s accurately. I really want to make black hills 77 otm work, but been having a heck of a time with flyers in all my current barrels. It looks like their barrels use 5R rifling, not sure how much that would help.

The lower cost Liberty barrels are 5R button rifled, cut rifled barrels are standard rifling. Liberty barrels are 1/7 twist rates, cut rifled wyde barrels are 1/7.7. Berger 77 otm require 1/8" twist of faster(1/7.7 is faster).

I have a couple of Liberty barrels and am very happy with them. My next replacement barrel for my Service Rifle will be a Satern. Aquilla Custom Gun Works in NC builds a lot of Satern and Liberty-barreled ARs and they shoot lights out.

Most consider a cut rifled barrel to hold tighter tolerances than a button rifled barrel. The finished surfaces inside the bore will have fewer tool marks in cut rifled barrels and can be much easier to clean as there will be less copper fouling.

Are these not the 20" barrels that I keep buying from Midway labeled AR Stoner ?

These shoot 1/2 moa easily ....and are dirt cheap ...I have 2 more showing up tomorrow

fellas ...99 dollars each now at Midway ...it's insane cheap ! I've bought 5 ...

Get em while they last !! Last time I researched they are made by Satern

I've got plenty of vermint Ar's and these barrels are on a bunch of them ..
They love 69 grainers

Pretty sure those are BCA
I can only tell what I'm seeing over here ...
I am a machinist and former engineer 15 years for Liebherr in Germany
I know quality and manufacturing ...I was in the gear industry.....I am NOT a fanboy and I favor
big bang for your buck ....over logos and name brands ....these barrels are top notch in all regards
fit , finish, bore , tolerances .....and damn do they deliver the ragged holes .... 99 dollars for a 20"
stainless 416 , fluted , threaded barrel with a Wylde chamber .....I'd stock up ....

I've got Wilson premiums and Ballistic Advantage , Patriot Ordinance POF , FN barrels around here on my Ar's and these barrels from
AR Stoner shoot with all of them ..
If I was fortunate enough to be located by Dog towns ...these would be a given , I'd have 6 sitting on the shelf .

Can you confirm the muzzle dimensions for me? It appears to have the .7" diameter by .7" long step before the threads. Would be nice if the dimension behind that was .74-ish to accept my aem5/m4 collar.
