I’m looking into buying a Savage 110 .25-06 Does anyone have a experience with this model? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif I have heard that they are a good quality gun and accurate out of the box.

IMHO, you can't beat a Savage for the money. Most think that they don't look very good, but they shoot good, which is all that I care about, and you can change the barrel yourself, if you care too.

Double D, I hear ya on the looks thing...I could careless about looks as long as it shoots straight!

I don't no about the gun but I no the 25-06 she can be very hard to find a load that your gun will like. I have nine in a weatherby it's sweat. My son had one in a rugger, mine didn't like his shells and his didn't like mine but we shoot targets 100 yrd and try to cover them with a dime. Some people don't try to hold that tight of a group if this is you U'll be ok with store bought. Good luck

CDENTON, I plan to reload so it should be a problem to find a load that my gun will like. Thanks for the input

yotexx..i picked up a steven's 25/06...no accutrigger...i haven't tried anything but sierra 100 grain pro-hunter's & imr 4831...i think my 1st load was 1 1/2"...where i stopped was 52.6 grain's & it will put 3 shot's consistantly @ 3/4...& 5 shot's about a inch...that's all i need...i would guess if you bought that savage it will probably work out pretty good for ya...

I have an older Savage 110 and love it. Shoots 90 Sierra HPBT's and 100 Nosler BT's great in 1 hole groups. It gives my 25 Sendero a run for the money and it cost a lot less.

My 110 fp will put 3 75gr Vmaxs under a 1" at 100yrds and the 100gr NBT shoots under a 1" also. The only thing I don't really like is the tupperware stock but I havent gotten around to changing it yet. BTW mine likes IMR4350 with the 100gr BT and RL15 with the 75gr Vmax

Rich44, how many grains of powder in the RL15 75Vmax combo and the IMR4350 w/ 100gr BT's? I really think that this is the gun that I want to buy!

I don't really like to give out my load data I know it is safe in my gun but.
This should help you out, BTW I used Federal 210 Match primers
