I'm interested in the savage 12 lrp in the 6.5 creedmoor and I would like to hear form yall of opinions and the pros and cons of the rifle and caliber. Thanks for your help

I have the exact rifle your interested in. The gun is definitely a shooter. The trigger is awesome. Havent put it on a trigger scale but its still set from the factory and i believe they set it at 12 oz. which isnt what i prefer for hunting but its awesome for shootin groups. I loaded 140 bergers and 42.8 grains of H4813 and have it shootin good groups. 5 shot groups that i could cover with a nickel. It also shot the factory 120 well also. About the same size groups. Never ran the factory 140's. Ive shot on our range from 400 to 800 and its performed well on steel with moa triangles painted at the respective distances. I also used the gun in a tactical match and the longest shot was 1038. I made a second shot hit. All that being said and im fairly new to long range shooting and matches but the gun will definitely shoot. With a little tweaking on loads i could maybe shrink those groups but i was satisfied with where i stopped.
As for a hunting/calling rifle its not for me. It is extremely heavy which helps on holding it steady but my preference is a lighter rifle for calling, moving, in and out of the truck, etc.
Hope this helps. And by the way if ya decide to go with the LRP i might be interested in selling it cause im looking to prob get into a creedmoor in the savage model 10 predator.
You can pm me if interested or have any more questions.

Okiekiyi thanks for the info that helps a lot. I'm newer than you to shooting other than hunting. I might get into reloading later but for now I'm going to shoot factory loads. The weight of the gun won't bother me I like to shoot the heavy guns. I might be interested in yours please sent pics and a price if your serious about selling. Thanks again for the info.

Thanks Psyops for the info on the ammo. I spent the day on the web checking out the info and comments on this rifle and ammo. The only down side I heard was the weight. I don't mind that as long as its a tack driver.
