Savage 25 22 Hornet opinions

Looking for a 22 Hornet repeater and wondering what folks who own one think of it. Currently have a Browning Low Wall in 22 Hornet and love how this round performs on small game but would like a repeater. Any issues with the magazine or feeding from the Savage.
Thanks

I tried the M25s in both the .17 and .22 Hornets; both I'd rank as duds. Memories might be mixed, but burred-over barrel crown, feeding and extraction issues, and cold-vs.-warm barrel p.o.i. were issues. When a close-range coyote crossed my path while groundhog hunting and the plastic magazine box fell apart as I inserted it (I swear I heard him laughing!), I immediately drove to a dealer and traded the Savage on a C-Z.
To be fair, some 25 owners with rifles from newer production runs than my early ones swear by 'em.

have one in 17 hornet. it is more accurate than the cz 17hh i had.

never a problem with magazine or ejecting. feeding is finicky now and then. so was the cz i had.

oh how i wish wish wish tikka made one in 17hh and 22 hornet. how i wish.

I have four Savage rifles: 3 VLP's and a rebarelled to .45
10MLII. All can shoot better than my abilities. So, when looking
for a lower priced rifle in .204, I checked out the Savage 25.
The one at the LGS had a tupperware stock, which could be
easily changed out to something better. However, my first
impression was "made by Mattel" and couldn't get past that
impression. Savage could do a lot better.

I have a CZ in 17HH and do experience occasional feeding issues so I wonder if the same would be true in 22 Hornet. Based on all the comments I need to think some more on the options.
Thanks to all of you that have taken the time to respond.

2 CZ's 17HH, american and varmint, both feed issues, the american big time. Very dissatified with a 2 supposedly nice $650-700 rifles. Ive had it wih 17's period, had same bad experience with 3 diff Savage 93r17's...all mag issues and feed issues. Slightly irritating.

I tried two different model 25 17Hornets (one wood stocked and one synthetic) and had the exact same experience as this. Feeding issues with rounds constantly getting snagged/stuck, POI shifting massively, terrible groups, no way to single-feed rounds, etc. Sold them and bought a CZ 527 Varmint 17H. No issues at all and it shoots fantastic. Liked it so much I went and bought the same rifle in .204 a few months later.

On a positive note for Savage, I still have one of their Model 40 single shot bolt guns in 22H which was my first hornet rifle. I must have put several thousand rounds through it so far and it still works perfect and shoots sub-MOA all day with Hornady factory vmax loads. I've also had great luck with their 17hmr bolt rifles, but I'd avoid the model 25s.

I looked into getting one of those Model 25's a while back. Most of the feedback I got on them wasn't very good. Mostly feeding and magazine issues. Decided to go with the CZ 527. Glad I did. Best trigger in the buisness out of the box. Super
accurate too.

I must be odd man out and yet to have a feeding issue with mine. Works flawless. It's a tack driver with 35gr VMAX. Biggest complaint is the weight of the rifle for such a small caliber
