Savage axis II 223 intermittent light primer strikes

I have owned the savage axis for probably 8 years and never had a problem. This year it started having failure to fire issues with light primer strikes. I have looked on internet and saw that it’s quite common, however I can’t find any confirmed solution to the problem. Guys are saying anything from head space, to firing pin springs, to trigger, to machining parts on the bolt. I can’t get ahold of anyone at savage this morning to see if they can help. Was wondering if anyone had this issue and ended up correcting it themselves. I am shooting hornady ammo out of it.

Thanks Art

.....and it isn't that difficult, either. Some have a hard time
getting the allen head screw broke loose. An old gunsmith once
told me to lay the bolt on the floor with the handle to the
left, L-handle allen wrench inserted, and use your foot on the
end of the wrench to break it loose. Worked very well for me.
