Mine is close to benchrest accurate as is with 1 1/2 coiled off the trigger and a 30$ no brand 3-9×40 scope.
I feel bad for the op. I wish I had a good solution for him. But everything I would do has already been reccomended.
But. I think I have cleaned mine 3 times in over 500 rounds of shooting. . . All mine does is shoot. Real Good.
I have the classic model stock in forest camo.
Unfortunately some guns just wont shoot well, maybe a manufacturing issue or something undetermined in this thread. I had to ship my new B-mag back to the factory for several issues including accuracy and it was determined the gun was out of spec. Savage is replacing it on their recommendation.
Just to be clear, the B-Mag has nothing in common design-wise to the Axis. So problems/solutions for one, don't apply to the other.
I've read a lot of threads about the Axis and accuracy issues are rare. When they have occured, the vast majority were loose stocks, bad scopes or mounting, or other owner errors.
The bottom line is I would try the solutions above, the self-fix may be quick and easy.
