Savage Axis

Looking at a Savage Axis in .22-250. Anyone here use one? Just wondering how well this gun shoots, being as cheap as it is.

I had one in a .223 to use as a beater. Cheap isnt the best way to describe them. Inexpensive maybe, but not cheap. I wish I had pics of some of the groups I shot with mine. Pretty impressive.

Mine retired my Rem 700 in 22-250. It's a fantastic gun for the money. Scratch that, it's a fantastic gun, period!

They are the opposite of Anna Kournikova. (She looks good but doesn't produce)

I have one in .223. I put a Rifle Basix aftermarket trigger on it and set it at about ~2 lbs. But even before the trigger, I was keeping sub 1" groups at 100 yards with Hornady Vmax Poly 55 gr rounds. I love shooting it.
