Savage Axis?

A local gun dealer is selling the Savage Axis for $350 NIB. for any caliber that its offered in. This seems like a great deal. Does anyone know if a Acutrigger can be installed in a Axis? The ones he has right now,22-250 and 243, do not have the Acutrigger.

I'm not sure if the accutrigger is able to be installed. But see the post about axis/edge mods for all your trigger needs. $350 seems a bit high for just the gun. Have you looked at Kittery Trading Post? If they're still open. Seems they would be able to beat that price. And then there's Walmart that also sells the axis.

All the research Ive done says no, the acutrigger cant be installed on the axis. And 350.00 is a tad high, I paid 267.00 for one around christmas last year.

For the combo, $350 is just a touch high, I've seen them at $329. I bought one without scope at Wally's for $267 in October.

Accu-trigger cannot be installed. The rifle basix SAV-1 or a replacement spring from ACE hardware will reduce the weight of the trigger.

Paid under $260 (no scope) for my Axis from Wal-Mart. This was a year or two ago. If your Wal-mart sells guns, ask to see their gun catalog. You might be surprised what you can order thru Walmart.

To lighten the trigger watch this video...i took 1.5 rings as said....you do only need to take the small c clamp off the bottom pin and pull it out ...trim the top off the spring..and put it back together takes about 20 minutes...

CHECK THE GUN...
cock the gun with it being empty put the safety on and pull the trigger hard...it should be normal.....

I priced a NIB Savage Axis Scope Combo (Bushnell 3X9X40mm)in Camo and .223 Caliber for $359.99,thats a good price for a complete Rifle with Scope.

The barrels are interchangeable.

Got mine from local shop without scopes or mounts.

blued- $299
stainless-$349

no tax- out the door prices- so similar to walmart with tax.

I got the one from Walmart that is a step up from the axis. I believe it is the 10 FXP combo for 329. This one does have the Accu-Trigger.

I would say to keep looking around.
