Where do you get other cal barrels and what tools do you need to swap then out.
I have a Stevens 200 in a short action and was told by a employee of Savage that the Sav 110 and the Stevens 200 were the same.
Am i to understand that other short action cal barrels like the 308, 260, 708 will work with my receiver and bolt?

Get yourself over to SavageShooters.com and you will learn plenty.

As for barrels, go to the savageshooters web site and then go to northland shooters supply, Jim Briggs will have everything you need.

All the short actions calibers you mention will work with what you have along with the 250 savage 243 and 22-250.

As far as tools I use a barrel nut wrench and a barrel vise with a rear entry action wrench. Others use a nut wrench and an action wrench.

What caliber 200 do you have? If it's a 223 for instance you'll need a new bolt face also. If it's a 22-250 your golden ( .473 bolt face ) then a 243,260,7-08, and 308 just require barrel and tools mentioned above.

+1 on Jim Briggs ( Northlander ) he's got the stuff.

All I use is a full length sized case of the caliber I'm changing to.
Best advice you have gotten so far is to go to 'savageshooters.com' & they will steer you straight.......

Here for bbl also, or for a complete rig.

There are at least 50 sites that offer a drop in Savage bbl.
I just got my bbl nut wrench in from midwayusa & man its a heavy duty piece of steel.
Now just to have a bbl turned....its a infection like an AR!
