Savage Mark II FV - Body gun stocks?

I have a Savage Mark II FV model. I am wanting to buy a laminated thumbhole stock from boyd's stocks. However, I just wanted to know if it is as easy as unscrewing the old plastic stock off and bolting the new one on? I think I will need longer bolts but do I need to buy a different trigger guard and plate? Thanks

Yes, you will need the bottom metal (trigger guard and floor plate). I used DIP parts when I changed my FV-SR to a Boyds stock. I don't believe I had to get different bolts on mine.

Most all of Boyd's stocks have a foot note in there somewhere. It will tell you what you will need to install their stock.
