Just ordered a Savage model 220F (20 ga.) slug gun based on Randy wakeman article on these. From what he says in his article .7 groups at 100 yards, not bad for a shotgun sabot.I owned a Browning A-bolt shotgun a few years back that was a tack driver and sold it,still kicking myself in the rear for that LOL.I will post my range results when I get the savage dialed in.coobie

Kudos on the Savage 220 snag!!
I'd be interested in how it shoots for you!
Many years ago, I had a Savage 219 in 22 Hornet. That was my varmint rifle back then in Pennsylvania.
IIRC, the receivers on the 219's and 220's are the same.
Returning to my roots,

I keep looking at both the 219 and the 220 on GunBroker and GunsAmerica thinking I might want to get another one. The 219's came with 30-30 barrels in addition to the Hornet. Something to occupy my curiosity..

I've been eyeballing one of those myself. I'd say I'll probably have one by the time next season rolls around. Right now I've got my ML10-II ready for her maiden hunting trip. The way I'm liking it so far, I might be done with shotguns.

peace.

You should be "Kicking" yourself for selling a Browning A bolt slug gun. Browing discontinued them because slug deer hunters would not pay the $700.00 plus price tag. Now you can't find a used one at any price.

The Savage 210 had feeding issues with the 2 3/4 inch shells in a 3 inch magazine. The newer 220 model has solved the feeding issues.
