Scents to use coyote calling

Just set your stands so the coyote won't cross your scent cone coming in. You can even call down wind if you have something blocking so the coyote has to come from the left or right and you can shoot him before he crosses into your scent cone.

The Fur Harvester's Trading Post catalog has about 17 pages of Scents, lures, baits and URINES to aid in trapping, hunting and predator calling. There is an entire page of urines: red fox, grey fox, coyote, mink, raccoon, bobcat & timber wolf in pints, quart, 1/2 gal and gallon. BTW coyote urine is $6.50/pint or $28.95/gallon from one vender (there are at least 3 venders of predator urine). It can't hurt to squirt a little scent around your call or decoy which might make the coyote or fox linger that extra second or two. I've seen rabbit urine in the past but couldn't find it in my latest perusal.

I heard rolling in salmon is good too, watch out for bears though.

I have used old moldy bacon grease as a dipp'n sauce for old stale combo cheese pretzels
- and these can be thrown to scatter - an advantage for me.
Have several trailcam vids of yotes following the scent
then they crunch these down like savory appetizers !

I like to mix bacon with beans, you can even get it premixed in a can, have it for dinner the night before and you produce your own fogging scents. An additional dose with your eggs in the morning will keep you producing all day.
