scope advice for 30-30 marlin lever action

i have a lever action 30-30 that i want to start my son deer hunting with. it is a nice little gun that fits him well and i shot my first deer with it. he managed his first doe w/it this past weekend. i am looking for a scope to put on it. any ideas? i was looking at the 4x32 scopes. i want something pretty wide for him, yet enough power to make the 100 yard shot. sure would appreciate any assistance.

Nikon Monarch, Leupold fixed 4X, Weaver Grand Slam 4 3/4X, all would work well for your purposes.
 
I know that I am going to be putting on a Tru-Glo 2x red dot scope on mine pretty soon. I usually just use mine in thick stuff, and occassionally out to 100-150 yds.
