Scope for a shotgun(combo gun really)

I’m dead set on my idea of getting a rifle shotgun combo and now I’m looking at what scope to get. I’m thinking something small like 1-5 or the likes. I get a good discount on leo, Burris, and a few other. No vortex for me, almost every one I’ve had has broke and been sent back. What sort of scope can handle the recoil of a shotgun and has good eye relief and is sorta smaller. Wanting to keep a bit lighter but also looking at a Burris XTR ii 1-5 which is pretty thick.

Any advice?! Thanks fellas

I really like straight tube 1-4x20 scopes, they can be mounted low so you can get a good cheek weld. They mostly have excellent eye relief, on 1x with practice you can actually shoot flying birds/in close fast runners and on 4x even 300 yard shots on coyotes are really doable.

My scopes on combo guns,

Leupold: VX-1 1-4x20mm Shotgun scope, VX-2 1-4x20mm, New Freedom 1-4x20mm

Weaver: V-3 1-3x20mm

Nikon: Monarch 1.5-4.5x20mm

I've killed coyotes with all of the above except the new Leupold, haven't mounted it yet.

I get 50% off leupold for the next year so I’ll definitely look at those. The 4 power would probably be great for my set up I’m planning. Most coyotes I’ve killed have been at 3 or 4 power anyways and I’ve missed more than a few being at too high of power
