Scope for AR???

I am buying my first AR and I am wondering what type of scope I should put on it. A buddy of mine has a Trijicon ACOG and I really like it, just not the price tag. So, I would like something similar and am looking for opinions. Burris 332 or 536? Mostly it will be a calling rifle, so real close range out to 200-250 yds. Thanks!

Mueller Multi-Shot in 2-7x or Leupold Rifleman 3-9x...Either is under $200 and will give you good service at the ranges you list...I've used both in action competitions successfully

I have used the Burris 332 quite a bit, its a very nice little optic but for the price of it theres a lot of other choices I would go with personally, like a good 1-4 scope or even a 3-9. The Vortex stuff is super nice and that's what I spent my money on

I have been looking real hard at the new Bushnell AR 1-4, its got illuminated reticle, target turrets, 30mm tube, BDC and sells new with SWFA one piece mount for $275 ish on SWFA.com

I have been deciding the same thing for my new AR build and I think I have settled in on a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36mm with a Boone Crockett reticle. I sure hope I like it. my rifle will be ready Sunday so I need to get this ordered.

I have the Nikon P223 3-9 power on one AR and for the price of it I am pretty impressed. Need to buy another set of glass for a lightweight build I did and thinkin of going 2-7 on it to save some weight. Most likely leupold as it weighs under 10 oz and for this build that is attractive.

Good luck in your seach. Lots of good options out there.

I want something with long eye relief. My neighbor has a scope that is mounted far enough back that it covers up the charging handle, which seems quite irritating.

I have 3 Leupold AR scopes and I like them. They are 3 1/4 inches above the bore's center line. The charging handle is no problem. I do install tactical latches.

FYI-The eye relief on the P-223 3-9x40 is 3.6"

got a e-mail from natchezss.com yesterday, Nikon`s are on sale.

I have the p-223 4x12x40 on my AR and really like it. I've only shot about 100 rounds with it so far but I really like the BDC reticle and the price tag won't break the bank.

Does anybody have experience on the M-223 BDC accuracy? I am looking into it along with an M-308 for an AR-10 I have on order.

I own Nikons but none with BDC.. I'm just really curious to how accurate the SpotOn is.

I use the Spot On with all my Nikon's. They all have the BDC reticle. I got to shoot the M-223 and P-223 a while back at the 2013 Nikon Spot On Championships. We were hitting targets out to 500 yards at ease. The Spot On software was just upgraded again about a week ago to add additional components. I also have it on my iPhone.

Here is a link to the article I wrote for "Predator Xtreme" about it: http://www.grandviewoutdoors.com/predato...n-championships
