scope mount question

I thought I had decided to go with a RRA hi-rise scope mount but did a little more reading and looking around and found the mount made by Primary Arms: https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_Deluxe_AR15_Scope_Mount_30mm_p/padlxsm.htm

And saw that Joebobs has Vortex's one piece mount on sale: http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Vortex_30mm_Standard_Duty_Cantilever_Mount_CM_203_p/v-cm-202.htm

Anyone have experience with one or more of these? There is not a huge price difference (especially between RRA and PA) and all seem high quality. Thanks!

I really like the looks of the Vortex, but they are still not available. I think I am going to buy the Primary Arms deluxe mount. There was a guy that has a used one piece Nikon mount for $55, I find it and send you the link in case you are interested.

Did you look at Joe Bobs? I just ordered 1 Sunday. It shipped today.

Sendit

Ideally I would like the Warne, but at 170 bucks it's out of my price range after completing the AR and deciding on a Vortex Viper. I may end up getting it later and throwing whatever mount I end up with on my M&P 15-22

The Burris or the RRA?

Either one. He has both, in stock.

You will want the cantilever to get the proper eye relief. I had that scope on my wife's AR for a short time. It would have been much better with the off set, but worked ok with regular rings. But her's is a high rise receiver and the high rise mount wouldn't work, too high.

For this application, I would certainly look into the cantilever RRA mount. With the cantilever, you can always set the scope further back, with out it, it will only go so far forward.

Just my $0.02.

PK Firearms has the RRA mounts in stock for $50. I would opt for the newer RRA Cantilever mount for only $10 more. I have bought a good bit of stuff from PK. They are GTG. Check 'em out HERE. Scroll down the page to find what you want.
