I am using leupold high quick release rings with a ProMag AR-15 Flat Top Scope Riser 3/4". I am still waiting for my Nikon Monarch 2.5-10X50 to get in ([beeep] backorder). But i did slap another scope on it and it seamed to be in the right spot. The ProMag ($22) has thumb screws for quick release so if i had to do it again i wouldn't have bought the Quick release rings. Also, i feel that the one piece mount will be better at holding zero if you ever pull the scope off.
On a side note, the ProMag has a see thru hole but it is impossible to get your eye down low enough to use.
