scorpian shutting down

Dang Randy, that pretty ingenious right there. I'll bet that puts out some pretty good volume too.

How's the battery life with that TOA attached?

Just put in together, havn't had it out to check battery life. It is loud, wont be using it at full volume unless I'm hunting in high winds and I don't like to hunt when the winds blowing over 15mph.

Here's how I ended up doing my Scorpion. It's getting ready to be torn apart though as I'm building a portable blind on wheels and will mount the speakers to it instead.

Uses a hinge on one side with a velcro latch on the other side when you want to be able to cover different directions at the same time.

One way to perhaps increase battery life in the Scorpion is to replace the 8 AA battery holder with a 10 AA holder. I did that in an X1-B that I had. It worked great. The X1-As are and easy swap.

BTW: I got the green light from Foxpro and I still have a couple of the X1-B adapters that Foxpro made up for me.

I was thinking about doing this also, I picked up an X1-B a few weeks ago. Could you send me a picture of that adapter or would you want to get rid of one?

The X1-A is the easy swap as they are set up to just snap onto any 9V type connector.

This is the patch that Foxpro made up for me for an X1-B.

I can't remember what they charged me. You could call FoxPro and check.

I would swap this patch and holder for a useable Surfire G2 if someone has an extra one.
