I used the scotch brite pad to polish my 870 super mag chamber and it smoothed it out VERY nice. The real test is shooting. I will have a chance hopefully at the end of the month or beginning of January.

FYI: I buy the white Scotch-Brite pads. They do not scrach what I want to clean. I can cut them into what ever shape I need. With some CLP or some No 9 it gets the crud off. They are nice for bows and crossbow.

it is not for cleaning. it is to remove machining marks so the empty hulls wont get caught when trying to extract.

Scotch Brite is good for lots of things. I was in the boating business for 40 years and we used it between coats of varnish. Sometimes 25 or more coats, scotch brite sure beat sandpaper.
