Self filmed hunting recommendations

I've done a lot of self filming, easiest route is something simple, that's basically all automatic, no ND's, no aperture, iso or gain settings. I've used a Sony Handycam for my solo apps, nothing real expensive 800.00-1200.00 range.

I used to just run a cheap Vanguard ballhead tripod, it works with the right tension and is lightweight and discreet. I use Manfrotto fluid heads now, but all of my equipment has massively upgraded from just 5 years ago.

It really depends on what you wish to film. If you wish to record the footage through the scope, then I would recommend either a digital day/night scope like a Wraith for instance or a Tactacam FTS. The Wraith has internal recording so you can record right from your scope. The Tactacam will film through your glass scope. With the tactacam, you will see the video as a round circle as it is actually recording through your scope.

Another option is to get a mount like a MLOK or Keymod mount which can attach to your AR handguard. It can end in a 1/4 x 20 standard tripod mount. You then could mount a small HD or 4K video camera. I prefer this to a Gopro due to the necessary zoom for filming the coyote. A Go Pro is nice for close-in work, but not great for recording things like a coyote at a distance.

The following is an example of using 2 cameras. I use the GoPro style camera for interviews, and the 2nd is the camera mounted on the side of the gun. This can work when by yourself. FYI, I have the GoPro mounted on a tripod and sitting beside me to get the video of me on the hunt and after for interviews. I used a 3rd camera on this hunt as I used a drone to show the area but that isn't really necessary but kind of cool.
