Sherpa Backpack chair

I had seen it some time ago and forgot what it was called. At the time no one had them in stock. Thanks for mentioning it. I purchased it through Amazon for a total of 33.00. It arrived this afternoon. It is quite comfortable and has a couple of carry options. It is very light and it folds quickly with no fumbling and can be used as a quick setup stool if you don't flip the back up. With my bad back and 67 years it is just what I was looking for in a chair/stool for both predator and turkey hunting. Thanks again for the post.

hey cool man you got it, i just placed my order for the camo one just 5 minutes ago, $37 delivered so you beat me there. from the video it looked perfect. how high do you sit compared to sitting on a 5 gallon bucket which is what i currently use? i'm glad i could help

OH MAN too cool, that will work great!!!! i'm just a little younger than you but i have a broke neck with 8" of titanium in it and the bucket kills me!!!! I'm jazzed even though it is the end of my season, but for catfishing it will be great also! i posted but thank you very much for responding. yotehunter here is the link with a video:

Just Google "Sherpa Backpack chair"

Yeah, I've got about the same amount of steel in my back after breaking it in 2 places. I know how hard it is to find something to sit on and be able to sit still. I have blinds and folding chairs behind the house for deer hunting but need something portable for coyote calling. Roadkill46, mbowerma, would you both tell us how the chair is when you get them? A good review would be nice for disabled or older hunters. Thanks guys.

dang it no mail today! it will be this week. i'm going to break my self induced season end date just to take the chair out and give it a run for the money prolly this next sunday. if not i'll make a few stands in my front yard!! ha!

OH YEAH!!! (Randy Savage impersonation) this is going to be the Bomb!!! Quality and construction are heavy duty. i checked all of the rivets and they are solid! you don't have to adjust the back rest straps or you can but if you keep them semi tight the back will just fall down when you stand up and you are ready to go. i sat on it with my Bushy and Snipepod hooked to it in my living room, aiming at imaginary bobcats and it is GREAT! my back will definitely thank me for buying this chair, talk about comfy. i then went out to the garage to see if it will fit on the quad....too big to fit on the back, ok lets check the front rack with the weapon mounts...fits ok....alright lets use it like it is intended....put FX5 and Mojo Critter in the bag...yes it all fits!!! slung the chair on my back and mounted the Kawasaki Brute Force 750i....just like butter!! the shoulder straps cinch up perfect so that the bottom of the chair does not touch the seat of the quad and you cannot even feel it on your back, well you do a little, but not much. this will be my sequence for a stand:
1. drive to stand on my quad with the Sherpa, FX5, Mojo on back
2. select weapon from front mount (AR/Shotgun/both)
3. walk to selected bush/tree/rock
4. unfold chair and put weapon on seat
5. take out FX5 and decoy and place in selected area
6. sit my fat arse in the chair
7. deploy Snipepod
8. Turn on call
9. Sit back and RELAX in comfort until said critter comes in!!

I wholeheartedly recommend the Sherpa Backpack Chair in Camo for $37 direct, but can be had on Amazon for a couple of bucks cheap and evidently a faster shipping.

I picked up one very similar to that one at a Farm & Fleet store in Illinois sporting goods dept for $15,,,,

The pouch isn't quite as big, but holds a couple of hand calls and extra ammo, first aid, etc...and it's strong enough to hold my 200+# body..

Sits high enough that I don't have a hard time getting up with a bad back..and has a 'carry strap' for over the shoulder..

i have looked at and bought just about every chair/stool/bucket/tripod there is in order to find one that will be comfy with my disability. i have to say that out of all that i have tried so far i think that this will be be the one. i really like the fact that it carries on my back and does not interfere with riding. it also has a handle that can be used when not riding. the only flaw i found so far is that the drink holder is worthless and i'll prolly cut it off since it is so well rivited and i think it will get in the way. other than that we will see how it works on an actual stand this coming weekend.

Roadkill, thank you for the review. Sounds like you went through the steps thinking of everything. Think I'll order 1 and sit my ALSO fat arse in it. Coyote and cat season goes out at the end of the month, but I know of a few ditchbanks where the crappie will be biting soon.

oh yeah for catfish this spring it will be excellent. the pouch is large enough for a 3-4 of the clear tupperware flat tackle boxes. when i crappie fish i use an Enrod backpack rod and reel and it will fit also.

I have to agree with roadkill. He and I went back and forth with PM's about this chair. He covered it very well in his review. I also am tall and large and back pain challenged. It is the most comfortable folding chair for hunting I have ever had.

yep, i'm not overweight but i am 6'4" at 225lbs but man that 8" of titanium and 4 cadaver bones with 16 screws in my neck between C3 and C6 will kill ya! plus gotta plastic hip, 2 knee surgeries. heck i'm only 53!!! see what the Army does to ya when they send you to far and exotic places!!!! anyway the chair will get a test on sunday. man it is getting hot here already, it was 89 degrees here today! so i don't think i'll get too much more hunting done. time for catfish!!!
