Shipping a firearm

I know this has been discussed on here before, but after looking on ups and fedx it looks like there policies have changed. Both sites say no to shipping without an FFL. I’ve shipped through ups a few times with no issues before.

About your only option for a long gun is to ship USPS to the buyers FFL. Or ship using the services of a FFL on both ends. I believe some states require the use of an FFL on both ends.

......ups and fedx it looks like there policies have changed.......
Been that way for quite some time.

I’ve read on other forums plenty of times Where the claim is, “what’s in the package is none of their business”, or “my fedex or ups hub doesn’t ask what’s inside so I don’t tell”. Which I guess you can do if you’re the gambling type. But…. If you do that and the package goes "missing" you have zero re-course, not to mention some shitbird now has another gun ....and they seem to have an uncanny ability of determining there's a firearm in the box even if the address is veiled. Just not worth it, pay the extra and ship dealer to dealer. The gun still may go missing but at a far less chance, and if it does, there is a better chance of recovery.

Wow…I guess I have not shipped a firearm in a long time. I had no idea they were no longer accepting shipments from non FFLs.

I had to send a gun back to the manufacturer recently. They sent a call ticket for FedEx. I was told if they ask what was in it just to say Sporting Goods.
