shipping ammo

I have used FedEX and UPS but had the best luck with DHL. They are by far the cheapest and easiest to deal with. You can even have them come pick it up from your house if need be.

According to DHL's terms and conditions, they will NOT transport "Firearms, Firearm Parts, or Ammunition". FedEx and UPS are the only major carriers that will still ship ammo. If you are going to air ship ammo you will need to take a haz-mat packaging course first, even though for ground shipments ammo is not a haz-mat label.

That's funny, because I have personally shipped ammo two different times in the last month using the DHL here in Omaha. Dropped it off, told them what it was (I even left the box opened so they could see),paid the bill and walked out. Both shipments have made there with no problem.

Actually I will be doing it again this week,so I will ask them why the differences between the web site and store policy.

I should add that the shipment has to be shipped "GROUND" and cannot be shipped to a PO BOX. Also has to have Signature Required by the recipient.

Fed Ex, and who I use, UPS all will shipped ammo. Never tried DHL. As stated above, the box must be CLEARLY marked "ORM-D". Ammo must be shipped ground, unless you have haz/mat training. Typically, will need an adult signature on the receiving end.
