This is one thing I DO NOT GET? I have purchased about 100 TOA speakers over the year. I know what I could get them for. Im positive Foxpro gets them for pennies on the dollar. It's one PA speaker. The shockwave has 4 speakers, a moulded housing, AND more features. HAS TO COST MORE TO PRODUCE.Yet they charge the same price?? Just something that bugs the [beeep] out of me. Rant over

I have a lot of background in electronics. Your not dealing with high end audio here. That aside. It boggles my mind how you offer less for just as much??? The CS24 SHOULD cost the same as the fusion. Not a Penny more.

hammer, maybe you ought to go into the ecaller business. You don't have a clue about FoxPro's operation, but with your vast background in electronics, you might be a sure hire.

did not sound like he wanted to apply for a job there.

Shout Down!

I know its a huge operation. I know its very successful. No I don't need a job. Nor did I want it to come out that I knew everything or their business. Back to simple logic... Of how they charge more for less. It's not rocket science. Nor am I the first to address it. So I guess there are a lot of future job applicants!!

You made a good point. Don't let the personal attacks of those who are biased and invested squelch your free speech and valid questions. Consider the source and the motivation.

hammer, I am not trying to argue with you. By the tone of some of the things you have said, you are indicating that FoxPro charges too much for certain items, etc.. Unless you know the history of the CS-24 series, you don't know what is involved there. It comes across to me as odd that you buy a company's products, and then question their pricing. My only agenda on making posts on this forum is to try to help people with questions they may have about FoxPro products or predator hunting, especially the newbies.

No Al you are not trying to argue or for that matter trying to promote/allow free open discussion. Relax man the product and the company can handle the scrutiny without you getting all bent out of shape.

Craig, I am not bent out of shape at all. You know better than that. I am not required or asked to post anything by FoxPro. I try to help anybody who is interested.

Okay Al, I'll call the original question. "Help us" understand why a vastly more sophisticated caller with many times the components costs the same as one with far fewer components and features.

BTW: for the record, I just sold my last Brand X E-caller. LOL

Cost of development? Demand? Saying you own the best caller made? Best remote in the industry? Could be any of these things.

This just might be the pain killers from my surgery talking but

When the CS24 first came out, On the Texas Predator Forum Steve did say the CS24 would have a higher profit margin being it was cheaper to produce.. If you doubt me do a search for the epic rant between Steve and Bill Martz it has to be top 5 rants of all time!!

OMG IM NOT THE ONLY ONE???

#1-Never in my life have I sugar coated a thing. I will call a spade a spade if need be.

#2- I do like the best of things. But To way overpay for anything is a hard thing to swallow. Regardless what it is.

#3- This IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!! FOXPRO IS NOT THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST!! This is plain and simple.

Foxpro is an awesome call maker nothing to argue here. I love my Banshee caller. Worth the $350. The CS24 is a Banshee caller..... With upgraded remote and a COUPLE EXTRA FEATURES. It IS NOT EVEN CLOSE PRODUCTION WISE AS THE SHOCKWAVE. If you honestly think so you are out of your mind! It does not even have the features the Shockwave does!!! It does not even have the features of the Fusion!!!! Yet it sells for every bit as much as the Shockwave???

Is the CS24 a nice called?? Hells yeah it is!!! IT IS THE CALL I REALLY WANTED!!! BUT NO WAY IN [beeep] SHOULD IT BE PRICED AS MUCH AS THE SHOCKWAVE. The profit margin on all the TOA callers is astronomical compared to injection moulded bodies. If you think I'm wrong? You might try thinking again!

Craig, I can't help you on that one. I don't know every detail about every product FoxPro makes. I know a lot about them, and I'm glad I can help some people from time to time. I feel sure that details about product development and pricing are decided by people with a lot more ability than I have in those areas. I'll just leave it up to the pros at FoxPro.

Whoever Steve is is 1000000% correct!!! A TOA speaker is VERY INEXPENSIVE. They are NOT MAGICAL!! They did not come from heaven!! They are a decent PA (public address) speaker. THAT IS IT. They are not some HIGH END audio component!! Stop making them out to be some elaborate expensive high tech thing. They are not and the CS24 IS HIGHLY OVERPRICED IN COMPARISON TO OTHER MODELS!!
That is not my opinion it is fact. It is clearly listed on the site. Feature for feature it does not compare to the fusion and especially the Shockwave!

Where would I find this rant? What was the topic? If you happen to remember. I am not going to call tonight so its going to be a night of reading and relaxing

Ive had several Foxpros...hunted over most all of them, as well as most other brands out there. I have 2 CS24C'S. Love em. For me, the size and handiness/build style is what I wanted...so I paid for it. If they got destroyed or stolen today Id go buy another or wait till I had the dough to buy it before I bought any other model.

Its business... and choices...lets back off the ledge a bit shall we?
