i see a lot of scope mount lights and i have a mount that came with my nite light for a rifle barrel. is there any mount to mount it to a shotgun barrel or do any of you have any other ideas. thanks

I just got the scope lite that goes with the wizard II and it mounts onto my remington 870 barrel just fine, I was worried about the same thing, trying to figure out how I would mount it one my gun once I oredered it, my gun does have the ribbed barrel and it works fine. I see your takin advantage of the law just passed just like I did. Now I wont have to wear mt hat sideways to get the fox lite up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Chris,
I took the nite lite barrel clampand modified it.I took the plastic clamp put it in boiling water just the C part used pliers to hold on to it as it heated up i formed it to my barrel. Then drilled 2 holes in it for zip ties to go through, and put mole skin on it between the barrel and plastic works great. Did the same for scope mount also with a little more work on light angle.

John it looks like the date is 9/1/07. This was in their newsletter this morning:

Release #104-07

NEW LAW TAKES EFFECT TO ALLOW GUN-MOUNTED LIGHTS FOR PREDATOR HUNTERS
Effective Sept. 1, Pennsylvania furbearer hunters may use gun-mounted lights when furbearer hunting, according to Pennsylvania Game Commission Bureau of Wildlife Protection Director Richard Palmer. The change in law took effect following Governor Edward G. Rendell's signing of House Bill 881, sponsored by Rep. Gary Haluska (D-Cambria), on July 3.

Now Act 26, the new law was first approved in House by a vote of 195-2 on May 21. The Senate approved an amended version of the bill by a vote of 50-0 on June 27, and the House concurred with the amended bill by a vote of 195-3 on July 2.

Supported by the Pennsylvania Predator Hunters Association, the new law permits those hunting for furbearers, including coyotes, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, skunks, opossums and weasels.
