Just got this scope in the other day. It is part of my shopping for a new build Ruger #1 Varmint barrel(Lilja)in 17 Fireball.

I went with this scope because I did not feel like I needed all the bells and whistles like I have on my 6.5 Creedmoor with the Leupold I have for it. This build is for a gun that will be my main coyote gun (1:9 twist, for 30 gr. bullets)and shots will be 250 and in.

Dont get me wrong here, I did not say cheap in any way and this scope, though less expensive than some, does not demonstrate "cheap."

I was very impressed with the clarity of the lenses and the "focus" on the eye piece. It is just a really nice piece of glass. The low turrets were something I was not sure about but they are well done and well marked with a good feel. I have it mounted on a 22-250 Hart barreled #1 that will actually be the donor/parent gun for the fireball. I am going to shoot it a bit just to play around and get acquainted with the scope.

So, for now, I really like this scope. Just my thoughts.....

I almost bought the exact scope yesterday. My only problem was no adjustable objective. While playing with it I noticed it would become blurry on 12 power at different ranges. The glass was very clear and I liked the reticle. I would have bought it if it had an adjustable objective.

I just got to shoot it today. I was really impressed with the clarity as I mentioned in my first post. I cant say much about blurry as I did not notice that. I went up to 12 but that was just looking at a target set at 350 yds and it did not seem blurry to me. I did check it at 200 and 150 and it was not blurry but I really dont shoot much over 8-10 power any way.

I dont use 12# much so perhaps I missed something. However, all other settings worked quite well. I was concerned about not having a front objective adjustment but frankly, it did not seem like I needed one. (my understanding is this scope is set for 300) I did do a bit of focus with the eye piece and that seemed easy and friendly if you know what I mean.

For what I wanted I really like this scope a bunch. I will shoot it on this 22-250 until I send it in foe its new 17 fireball barrel and then replace it when that gun comes back. I think I have a great match for that gun.

Just my thoughts......

I guess blurry was a poor choice of words. It wasn't blurry it just wasn't as crisp at different distances. It seemed like a good scope I'm sure I would have been happy with it.

Jabey9210:

Nah, blurry is blurry. Kinds like having your eyes water real bad... Thats blurry.......

I thought mine was pretty darn "crisp" but remember my 70 year old eyes could be wrong.... LOL

I also think since I will likely be staying at 10# and under I may be a bit different. Any way I really like the scope for the price....

Just sayin

I picked up one of these today. I did notice the clarity is not quite as crisp on 12 power as on the lower powers. But.... unless I'm just punching paper it will stay on the lower powers also. I haven't got to take it outside either and things get different when your out of a building. For all intended purpose, I think it will be a nice scope.

AS yet, mine has not shot at anything but paper and at that it has done well. I like this scope.

I may have to look at some of their better scopes for some future rifles....

I have always liked Zeiss glass quality. In fact I still have a Duralyt 2-8x42 that has yet to find a permanent home on a rifle but I hate to sale it because the glass is so good.

I got to take my Zeiss Terra to the range today. I hate to say it but I was very disappointed. On 12 power my target at 100yds was very blurry. On lower settings it wasn't to bad but compared to the Nikon Prostaff on my other rifle, the difference was very obvious. So, I returned it to Bass Pro and got another tried and true Nikon. Just my opinion as other people may like them but I was not one of them.
