Super bad photos. This is SUN35 a Cooper 20VT sent to Leroy Barry for a piece of English walnut broomstick.

Scope is a Lupe VX-7, 3.5-14X50.

One of several but definitely one of my favs (really only the barrel is custom)

Match Grade Machine .204 Ruger full bull stainless barrel

tuned trigger 1.5 lb. (breaks like glass) on a AA TC Contender frame

Gunstocks Inc Walnut stock finished in Linspeed

Leupold VXII 4x12 AO

It rocks prairie dogs way out there.

Here is my custom rifle built by Duane at Shooters Services Unlimited. It's a 22-250 built with a worked Remmington 700 action, 22" Douglas barrel with a H.S. precision stock. The trigger is a tuned stock trigger set to 2lbs. By far the most accurate rifle that i've ever owned.

.22/284 How does it shoot? I have built a few 6/284's, and a 6.5 /284 for my 1000yrd gun.
Seems to me the .22/284 is over bore enough that it would burn the throat, or at the very least not be so efficient?
What bullet weight are you using?
I'm just perplexed by the idea of the cartridge design.

sorry for such a late reply just got back from a roadtrip with my dad. anyways, i dont know crud about this gun. ive personally shot it 3 times and my dad has shot it maybe 15 times. what little i know about it and some stats and articles ive looked at about it is that it is a barrell burner and it can shoot out to about a thousand yards (i think thats pretty neat a .22 cal shooting that far)

as far as the load we shoot i have no clue if i remember right it has a 55gr bullet but again im not 100%

ill try and get my dad to find all of the stuff the gunsmith that built it had dont with it and what he wrote down

Thanks, I would be interested in looking over the data.
You can pm , or email it to me, if your willing to share it.

How about my LH Precision 10-22Mag. Shilen Barrel, Kidd Trigger, Mike Turner Custom Stock. I'm still looking for the perfect scope to replace my Tasco 10-40X50mm. Larry at LH Precision has been very good to me during a hard birthing process.

This is my p-dog and pigeon slayer, German Weihrauch, HW100T. Yes, a high presicion multi-shot airgun. I can also operate it where noise is a big issue. All you hear is a gentle puff. Effective range is around 120 yards on a good day...

Couple of 700's.

Front one's a 17Rem. Pac-Nor 24", #5 contour,9twist 3grove Super Match barrel in a Holland stock.
Wears a 4.5-14 VXIII, and shoots 25gr Nagel's at 4120.

Back one's a 22BR. Pac-Nor 24", Sendero Contour, 14twist, 3grove, Super Match in a HS PSS stock.
Wears a 6-18 VXII and shoots 52gr SMK's at 3650.

Both have tuned, older Remmy triggers set at 1.5lb's, and shoot .5 MOA very consistently.

I've got a couple of other Pac-Nor barreled 17cal sporters, but you asked for Varmint rigs.

Well now for a chance to go 'old school', here is my latest find. It is a Martini in 218 Bee. I really like the .224 caliber centerfires. Plenty of range, without destroying my 64 year old shoulder.

Here's my work in progress. It started as a stock Remington 700SPS Varmint in 243winchester. I painted the stock and bedded the forearm, replaced the trigger with a Rifle Basix LV-1K set around 10oz., put a Badger Ordinance picatinny 0MOA rail on it, had it duracoated coyote brown, then replaced the stock with a Bell and Carlson A2 stock with Eagle stock pack and had a Badger Ordinace bolt knob installed. I just got it back from Bartlein and here's how she looks now, naked, I'm still doing stock work to get her to fit and getting ready to load some rounds for it before I mail it off to get a Ceracoat job on all the metal. Barlein trued it up, replaced the lug and pinned it, replaced the barrel with a 9 twist Remington varmint contour with 3" of no taper on the chamber end and chambered it back in 243win finished out at 28". Here's the start to current pictures of the progress.
