side by side atvs

Depends on what your intended purpose is, we just like to cruise around and trail ride. We picked up a Polaris RZR and its a blast!!

Spent 6 months test driving all the UTV's on the market. Decided on a Rhino 660 which is now the 700. This seemed to fit my needs best. First thing to do is figuer out just what its purpose will be and try and find 1 that will be the best for you. Things about the rhino I liked were dump bed, 4 wheel posi lick, lots of accessories avalible, will run down the road at a good speed, 2in reciever hitch, independent suspension, seats 2 very well, and very user friendly. I use it for yard work and pulling my welding trailer around and the wife will jump on it and run her and the daughter down the road to a friends house. Its also great on the trail rides and has hauled its fair share of yotes and deer out of the woods. JMO.

Here is what I settled on:

It's a Kawasaki Teryx. I love it. I also shopped around extensively. I test drove the Teryx and the Rhino at a local shop and after test driving both it was the Kawasaki hands down for me.

2007 Yamaha Rhino 660!

I've added extra's since this pic. I tested the Rhino,Ranger and prowler and hand's down (for me) the Rhino was the best.Hitman i'll have to say that Teryx looks pretty sweet. In a way it look's like the Rhino. Is that a new one from Kawasaki? I never came acrossed one when I was looking to buy mine.

I would have to say rhino if I were to get one, I know several people with them, my friend just bought one not to long ago and it is a blast. Alot of aftermarket support for them also and it a yamaha.

My buddy just bought a rhino and that thing is SWEET! dunno what ur using yours for but he likes to hot rod and just trail ride. We took it out just after a fresh snow on tuesday and hit a wash where it was a couple feet in a few spots and it blew through it. I cant really compare to any other but i was impressed!

Brought a crew cab Ranger 700 for the rescue squad and converted it to an off road ambulance, the rangers are tanks

Like I said i have the Rhino...My buddy has the 06 Polaris Ranger. We trail ride often during the warmer months. He has had alot of problems with the belt on the Ranger breaking plus numerous others. I have had not one problem with my Rhino to date (knock on wood). His ranger is just a little more powerful then my Rhino and it goes just a little faster. I think the Rhino 700 would be able to keep up with it. My Rhino will get up to 42mph before it hits the rev limiter. I like the Rhino bucket seats over the Polaris bench seats. The Ranger is a good bit wider too. The Rhino fits good on 4 wheeler trails.

ok thanks guys i guess i forgot to say what i was usin it for ok it would be use for trapin farm land not to ruff of areas and hunting plus rideing on trails not hte ruff ones the pretty level ones ..im likein the polaris bc more room

Our RZR will hit 55 before it starts to cut out.

My buddy has a RZR and if and when I buy one thats what I want. They are more comfy and handle so much better than any others IMHO

No doubt the rzr is awesome. I know alot of people that have them. I just think they are more for fun then work. I think the Rhino meets work and fun right down the middle.

If you plan on doing any hunting go with the Rhino it has a bed(queensize). The razor has a bed (crib to half size) The razr is also a little more uncomfortable to get in and out of due to being a little lower and it sits more like a go cart. If you want more speed buy a BRP cdi and make the Rhino run 55-60. Thats what I did now I have the best of all worlds. I can work, haul loads, and haul a@$. Plus if you look on some of the UTV forums you will find that the polaris products have been hard on their belt drives for some reason. The only issue that I see bad about the Rhino660 is thet they are really cold natured because of the carb. However the new Rhino700 is EFI and has eliminated the problem.

You said everything in one post that i tried saying in three /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif... I heard the BRP cdi could cause big problems for the Rhino. No problem with yours?

They are more of a fun rig.
The big problem with most side by sides is they exceed the 50" maximum for use on atv only trail systems in colorado. The razor is exactly 50 wide, minus a few other stupid rules like must have handlebars not steering wheel and you must straddle it not sit in a seat, which some atv clubs are working on getting or have gotten changed in some cases. They can be used on those trial systems. So they are a side by side that can go where the others cant. Polaris really did their homework on them so they could hit that market.

I have the RZR. I use mine for play and hunting and if i have alot of work to do i get out my 4x4 mule.
My RZR will do 60 on a hard gravel road with two people.
They ride nice and handle really good.. I remove the passenger grab handle and have a rifle mount that goes in its place to hold two rifles and i put my electric caller in the passenger seat. I have enough room for 4-5 coyotes in the back. I let my 11 year old son drive it around the yard and in the ditches, its much safer than a regular ATV..
