Sierra #1390 picture request

I recently purchased some factory seconds from Midway under the assumption they were Sierra Gamekings. I bought bother the soft points and hollowpoints. I assumed (we all know what that can do) that they were Gamekings based on the provided pictures and the "original prices" provided. I have done this numerous times in the past and always had real good luck its usually pretty easy to figure out which bullet is which.

The bullets I geussed to be #1365s do in fact appear to be 1365 based on appearance and measurements. FWIW if anyone is curious these seconds have some funny protrusions on the lead tips that peel right off and everything else weighs and measures as it should.

The bullets I believed to be 1390s measure and weigh just as they should and the only flaw I can find with them is they have off colored jackets. Its been a few years simce I've had 1390s around so I'm wondering if anyone could post a picture of the hp on a 1390 maybe next to another bullet for reference. These bullets have smaller hps than i remember a 1390 having so perhaps its another flaw or its not the bullet I'm thinking it is. There are lots of 55 gr bullets on the market but not that many 55 gr bthps so not a lot of possibilities.

Thanks hm. Ive been looking at that and every picture I can find on Google search too. Midway having free shipping this weekend so I was thinking I may order some more just trying to confirm they are what I think they are.

The Sierra 55gr bthp game king that is for sale to reloaders has a fairly large hole. Federal used to make a load for 22-250 using them for factory ammo. The difference is that federal version had a much smaller hp opening. Maybe half as big of a hole as the bullets sold for reloading. As far as I know, federal discontinued that line but maybe they are bringing it back?

I never pulled any bullets but the Hollow points in the federal American eagle varmint ammo has what I believe to be speer hollow points. they have a pretty gigantic hole in them.. they shoot good in my 243 predator though. I have a few boxes for the 22-250 but have not tried them in it yet.

I don't have a pic of the ones available for reload but the hp is much bigger on those ones

I Geuss I never realized they made 2 different gameking hpbts. Perhaps that is what's going on here.

They don't, atleast that the public can buy to reload. When I inquired about them I was told federal spec'd them to have a smaller hole.

The #1390 is my main "go to" bullet in my 220 Swift. I have my CDS dial worked up for the load I use this bullet on and it is the best all around bullet I have ever shot in my 40 years of reloading for the 220 Swift. I can tell you the hollow point is pretty big compared to most HP's.
