Sierra Edition V Reloading Manual

I just finished reading Sierra's new reloading manual and I can highly recommend it. It does an excellent job of covering everything from reloading, to bullet selection, ballistics, service rifle reloading, even the effect of vertical winds. Everything is in the one manual now: Rifle, Pistol, and Single shot handguns shooting rifle cartridges. Like the new Nosler manual, Sierra now covers most of the Ackley chamberings.

I can guarantee you will learn something new from it. It is that comprehensive. The one thing it no longer has is the ballistics charts. It would be too big to use if they were included and most everybody has access to a ballistics program now.

You can't have too many reloading manuals, but this one should be at the top of the list of ones to get.

Jack, does the new manual cover the complete bullet weight range in the ultra mags and win. short mags?I havent had a opportunity to see one yet.How much is the manual,I paid about 25 each for rifle and pistol for the last edition.

It covers the Remington Ultra Mags and the Winchester Short Magnums. It does not have the WSSM loads. Even Winchester has not finalized everything on them. But when they are available, Sierra will give you those pages for the asking.

Sorry no cast bullet loads CB. The best, by far, source for cast bullet info is the Lyman manual.

I also prefer the Sierra manual. I especially like their, "Most accurate loads." It's really a great place to start when working up a load. Quite often it ends up being my most accurate load also. I'm glad to see the ballistic pages removed. I don't think they served that much of a purpose. Dollar for dollar it's hard to top this manual. Best wishes.
