Sig P6 9mm

I just bought a Sig Sauer P6 9mm from one of my friends, there are actually alot of them available right now on gun broker. The German police force, renewed their weapons arsenal and traded all of these P6's in for the newer double-stack mag design. I must say these are excellent weapons for the money. Many are going for $275-$350 range. Ten minutes after I bought it, I was in the local pawn shop picking up a better holster for the weapon. The guy behind the counter saw the gun and offered me $175 more then I had just paid for it. You know with the way gun laws in Europe are that these were rarely used for anything more then qualifing, and some look to be unfired. Just thought I'd give a heads up on a good deal if anyone is intrested.

MPFD,
How's the accuracy of your new Sig?
What kind of groups and at what distance?

I'm considering the purchase of a 9mm, but want an accurate one.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

I've owned my older West German P226 for a long time now. Never part with this thing. Functions perfectly, accurate & fits my hand well. I have 2 of the original German 15 round magazines (the kind with the large stitch type seem), & 2 of the 17 round MecGar mags. They all work perfectly, but the original German mags are THE best they ever made. They are hard to find & expensive now.

Good enough for the SEAL teams = good enough for me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif They used them for years. Not sure if they still do.

I've been wanting to buy a P220 .45cal. Maybe someday. You own what I call the P225 single stack 9mm. I love the thin grip. Makes for a more compact rig if you carry.

Enjoy your Sig!

Mine is plenty accurate, I'm not planning on taking it PD hunting. It will shoot a 9 shot 3 inch group at 25 yards. It functions perfectly and is built like a brick $#!+ house. Best handgun on the market for the money. It is a great value and is well worth the $300-$350 they are bringing.

I have one, and it's more than accurate enough for a self-defense gun well past 10 yards. For the money, I'm not sure if there's ever been a better buy.
